Founded in 1980, Lioni has been a cornerstone of the Italian commercial enclave of Bensonhurst. Loved for their 150+ sandwiches ,which are named after prominent Italian Americans, and traditionally made fresh mozazarella, their flagship store is true to the classic "old school" style of a bygone era. The challenge was to maintain that identity while simplifying the aesthetic for a new generation of sandwhich lovers, utilizing hand painted signage, heartfelt colors and throwback neon lighting.
