Lake Placid, NY/ Andrew Chary Architect
The Paul White Memorial Bandshell at Mid's Park has served as the central gathering space for events in Lake Placid since the mid-1970s. Developed while a Designer at Andrew Chary Architect, the new iteration of the bandshell projects forward with an acoustically sensitive organic form. The rich materials and language of construction provide a historical connection to the Adirondack Arts and Crafts tradition and heritage. The bandshell is oriented to allow performances to be viewed by both lake and land.
